CALDWELL, ID – The Arizona Christian Firestorm men's basketball team pulled off a close win on Saturday evening against a tough Eastern Oregon squad, by a final of 82-81 in day two of the Taco Bell Shootout; hosted by the College of Idaho.

With the victory, the Firestorm improve to 2-1 overall, while Eastern Oregon falls to 6-2 overall with the loss.

After a rough loss on Friday night, Arizona Christian came out looking for a quick rebound victory against a tough Eastern Oregon squad. In the first half, ACU dominated Eastern Oregon, outscoring them 48-29 at the half. The Firestorm were on fire in the first half, shooting 55% from the field, to just 28% for Eastern Oregon.

The second half was another story, as Eastern Oregon flipped the script and shot 42% from the floor to Arizona Christian's 40%. In that second half Eastern Oregon outscored ACU 52-34; but it all came down to the final seconds of the game to decide a winner.

Eastern Oregon would make a free-throw to take an 81-80 lead with 18 seconds to go. Following the made free-throw, the Firestorm went down court to set-up their offense quickly. Michael Crane fouled Sharif Watson with four seconds on the clock and sent him to the line for two shots. Watson made them count as he knocked down both free-throws to give ACU an 82-81 advantage with four seconds left.

After a timeout and a few substitutions, Eastern Oregon looked to respond, but Michael Crane's last second three-pointer was off the mark and the Firestorm claimed the victory.

The Firestorm will have off until next Friday and Saturday, when they travel to Fullerton, California to take part in the Hope International Classic. ACU will square off with Hannibal LaGrange (MO) on Friday and then face Southern Oregon on Saturday.
