Box Score PHOENIX, AZ – The Arizona Christian Firestorm volleyball team fell on Saturday to 5th ranked Biola University by a final of 3-0 inside of the Fultz Memorial Gymnasium. Final scores were 15-25, 17-25, and 13-25.
With the loss, the Firestorm fall to 7-6 overall and 2-4 in GSAC play. With the victory, Biola University improves to 14-4 overall and 4-1 in GSAC play.
Biola jumped on Arizona Christian from the very get-go on Saturday afternoon, as the 5th ranked Biola Eagles proved to be too much for the Firestorm. Biola was led by Amy Weststeyn, who had 12 kills and three digs on 25 total attacks. Alyssa Mason also chipped in with nine kills on her 18 total attacks.
For the Firestorm, Brenna Bailey led the way with eight kills and six digs, while MacKenzie Worden chipped in with seven kills and seven digs.
Throughout the three sets, there were only three lead changes and the score was tied a combined nine times.
The Arizona Christian Firestorm volleyball team will next be in action on Friday, when they travel to Costa Mesa, California to face Vanguard University at 7pm. The Firestorm will not return home to Phoenix until October 23rd when they host Westmont College.
