Box Score Indian Wells, CA- Arizona Christian Men's Tennis saw their season come to an end when they fell to Lewis-Clark State College 5-1 in the GSAC Semifinals on Wednesday. Senior Tyler Cawthorne and Junior Ezequiel Suarez accounted for the ACU point.
Starting in doubles, Cawthorne and Suarez gave the Firestorm (7-15) hope as they won the first completed match of the day with their 8-4 win on the first doubles court. But the Warriors (10-9) won the next two doubles matchups with 8-4 scores as well.
ACU could not find a way to cool off the Warriors and the heat (near triple digits) in singles action.
Junior Seth Moore dropped a 6-3 and 6-1 result on the third court.
Cawthorne concluded his collegiate career by dropping his match with scores of 6-2 and 6-3.
The final match that counted in the team score and season was on court five where Senior Michael Munguia also ended his ACU career by coming up short 6-0 and 6-2.
Suarez won the only singles set of the day for Arizona Christian as he won 7-5 in his first set. He was down 4-2 when his match was ended as unfinished.
Sophomore Santiago Galeffi and Junior David Castano also had their matches go down as unfinished.
