Phoenix, AZ- Playing an away game just six miles from campus on Monday night, Arizona Christian used a 60-38 rebounding edge to dominate SAGU American Indian 99-78.  Five Firestorm scored in double figures spearheaded by a 17 point and 13 rebound effort from Junior Callum Lawson.

Lawson turned the first shot of the night into a jumper in the paint and a quick 2-0 lead.  The Warriors made their first shot to tie the score at 2-2- the only tie of the game.

The next seven points were all scored by Lawson as the Firestorm (5-1) built a 9-2 edge.

Until six and a half minutes left in the first half, the ACU advantage remained in single digits.  But then Senior Sam Finley buried a three pointer and the lead remained in double digits until the final buzzer.

At the break, Lawson was one rebound shy of a double-double with 15 points and 9 rebounds.  Finley stood at 12 points in the first half (he finished with 14 points).

Junior Andres Aguado was dialed in as he shot a perfect 5-5 from behind the three point line for 15 points.  Sophomore Lawrence Combs added 12 points and Senior Matt Willkomm produced 11 points.

Twelve different Firestorm pulled down at least one rebound.
