Milacki Dominant, Firestorm Win Fourth Straight

Santa Barbara, CA- Arizona Christian won their fourth straight ballgame on Wednesday following the lead of starting pitcher Senior Robert Milacki.  Playing the GSAC series earlier in the week due to Easter weekend, ACU defeated Westmont 4-2 in game one of the three game series.

The Firestorm (13-20, 9-15 GSAC) plated one run in the fourth and three in the eighth in secure the win over the Warriors (21-11, 14-10 GSAC).

Senior Jonathan Nunnally, Jr. started the scoring for ACU with a solo homerun over the left field fence to take the early 1-0 lead. Nunnally's homer is his fifth of the season.

Arizona Christian then plated their final three runs in the eighth inning on two hits and one Warrior error.  Senior Adam Wolfe drove in two with a pinch hit single through the left side.

Milacki pitched an outstanding game- tossing 8.0 innings allowing one run on three hits while striking out nine.  Milacki is now 4-4 on the year.  Junior River Carbone came in and closed out the game in the ninth to collect his fourth save of the season

Wolfe went 1-for-1 in the game with two RBI.  Nunnally ended the game going 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.  Senior Dom Rodriguez went 3-for-5 in the game.

 The Warriors and Firestorm will continue the three-game series in Santa Barbara on Thursday with a double header.  First pitch is slated for 11:00 am.
