Thoughts from Coach Rutter

"Winning on the road is always difficult, this was a great experience as the guys kept battling when we weren't playing very well.  We were out of sync offensively and I thought that hurt our defensive effort tonight.  As we mature, hopefully we can count on our defense regardless of how we are shooting.  I think we can become a pretty special defensive team.  We did a much better job in the second half the ball moved, our shot selection was better, and we got on the glass a little more."

"Marcus Gonzalez came in and gave us a huge lift.  He was ready to go and answered the call with a couple big baskets.  Shane was great down the stretch.  Doing what senior leaders do, he hit a couple big shots, and forced a turnover to seal the game.  He did get many clean looks offensively but did a nice job managing the game (seven assists, no turnovers)."
