Box Score 2 SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - Led by third-year Head Coach Joe McDonald, the Arizona Christian University baseball team (7-3) swept its twin bill at The Master's University (5-3) on Saturday, taking game one, 15-4 and won a shortened game two, 12-9.
Series/Game Notes:
ACU took three of four from The Master's during the four-game weekend series with today's sweep. ACU now holds a three-game win streak against the Mustangs which the Firestorm had done only one time before in program history.
Game two of the double header was called early with one out recorded in the bottom of the ninth inning due to darkness. It was counted as final with all stats counting.
Game One:
A surplus of offense and solid pitching were the story of game one for ACU. ACU starter Chase Martinez and relievers Benji Foyle and Spencer Davis led the charge on the mound, holding the Mustangs to just four runs on nine hits.
Martinez picked up the win after tossing five full innings, allowing two runs on five hits while walking one and striking out three. Foyle and Davis eached pitched two innings of relief and combined to allow just two runs on four hits, walking one while punching out two.
ACU's offense was led by the bat of Robby Campillo, who broke a single-game program record with eight RBI in a 4-for-5 performance, also tying a program record with two home runs.
The Firestorm had five multi-run innings, including a four-run sixth en route to the 15-4 victory.

Game Two:
ACU's bats continued to impress in game two as it scored 12 runs on 13 hits. Campillo stayed hot in game two, hammering his third home run of the day and was joined by Manny Villa and Ramon Miranda who each homered.
Starting pitcher Brett Aker earned the win and went 6-1/3 innings, allowing five runs on eight hits with a pair of walks and strikeouts. ACU's two relievers combined to toss the final two innings and allowed four runs on four hits, walking two while striking out one.

Assistant Coach Josh Milner said after the twin bill, "We bounced back today with good pitching and timely hitting. We still have a ton of work to do, but it's always exciting to come home after winning a series."
