Gulf Shores, AL- Day two at the Gulf Coast Invitational saw the Firestorm come out flat as they lost both games after scoring a combined four runs.  Sophomore Claire Buckley was the only Firestorm with more than two hits on the day.

Inside Game One

• The first five innings were scoreless
• Lani San Pedro singled and stole a base in the fourth but was left stranded
• Taylor Schleisman was left standing at third after singling and moving up
• Buckley tripled leading off the top of the sixth and scored on a wild pitch for the first run
• But the Eagles sent ten to the plate in the sixth scoring four runs and leaving the bases loaded
• ACU went down in order in the seventh

Inside Game Two

• The Gyrenes scored five in the first
• ACU plated two in the bottom of the inning with Garcia and Taylor Roberts collecting RBI
• Ave Maria put up seven runs in the fourth
• Guzman drove home Brown in the bottom of the frame
• Buckley doubled in the fifth but could not score

ACU is hoping to play on Monday but they may not play until Tuesday at Louisiana State Alexandria. The games with the Generals are scheduled for a 10:00 am (Eastern) start.
