Box Score SURPRISE, Ariz. - The ACU baseball team (28-17) got back in the win column Friday night with a 7-2 non-conference victory over OUAZ (17-16) at Surprise Stadium.

With the victory, ACU is now 5-4 this season against the Spirit, and 14-10 in the all-time series.
The Game:
The Firestorm got off to an early 1-0 lead after plating a run in the in the first inning. OUAZ would surpass ACU briefly to lead 2-1 after scoring two runs in the fourth, but behind a five-run sixth, the Firestorm regained the lead, eventually going on to win, 7-2.
ACU starting pitcher Trevor McGee (5-2) earned the win after going 6-2/3 innings, and allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits, walking one while punching out four. Relievers Spencer Davis and Anthony Defrancesco combined to close the final 2-1/3 innings, with Defrancesco striking out three.
Brent Smith went 3-for-5 with a double and scored three times, D'Marcus Guillory added a pair of hits and RBI, Ramon Miranda and Alec Ortiz each finished with two hits and an RBI, and Robby Campillo doubled and knocked two in.
