Glendale, Ariz.- On Tuesday, the Firestorm concluded the regular season with a split against GSAC rival OUAZ.  Prior to game one, the Firestorm honored their seniors.  Game two was played under the lights making softball the first ever ACU outdoor team to play a night game on campus.

Inside Game One

• Buckley tripled to start the bottom of the first before Taylor produced a sac fly for the first run
• Garcia walked before Kaitlyn Anderson drove her home for an early 2-0 lead
• The Spirit used three singles to score three runs in the fourth
• After Buckley doubled, Miles doubled behind her to tie the game at 3-3
• But OUAZ plated five runs on just three hits in the top for the sixth for an 8-3 edge
• However, ACU countered with six runs in the bottom of the inning without the use of an extra base hit
• Hayes forced one out in the sixth to earn the win
• Lawson delivered a 1-2-3 top of the seventh to secure her second save of the season.

Inside Game Two

• After four complete innings, the teams remained tie at 0-0
• OUAZ used two singles sandwiched around two groundouts to break the tie
• The Spirit tacked on three more in the sixth to seal the deal
• With the loss, ACU dropped to the fifth seed in next week's GSAC tournament

Next week the Firestorm will head to the OC Great Park in Irvine to compete in the GSAC tournament.ACU will participate in the first game on Tuesday against Hope International at 10:30 am.Win or lose the Firestorm will play again on Tuesday with opponent and time to be determined.
