Inside the Box Score
Coach Rogers' line change strategy (in which he substitutes the same three sets of five girls at a time) seemed to completely fluster the Warriors, creating several turnovers that led to Firestorm scores. Roybal got to work early, recording 11 points with two three pointers in just the first half, while the Firestorm defense locked down the #5 offense in the country on the other end. Westmont crept out to a five point lead with two minutes left in the first half, before ACU went on an 8-point run capped off by two clutch jumpers from Kaycee Brown to retake the lead going into halftime. Second-half shooting proved to be fatal for the Firestorm, as the ACU shooters cooled down and Westmont suddenly couldn't miss from behind the 3 point arc. The Warriors eventually regained the lead and closed out the game to narrowly avoid the upset.
Next for the Firestorm
