The Firestorm offense came to play tonight, but unfortunately, so did the Royals. ACU jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter, and then continued to play back and forth basketball before a jumper from Deniece Ryan retook the lead and started a 7 point run for the Firestorm to close out the first half. ACU shot well from the three point line in the first half, connecting seven times between Roybal, Alvarez, Lauren Gunn, and Sedona Anderson. While the Firestorm continued to score at the same pace in the second half, the Royals heated up quickly, shooting over 50% from the field, nearly doubling their first half scoring in the third quarter alone. The Royals secured the come-from-behind victory, and the Firestorm once again fall below .500 in conference play.
