Firestorm Hold Off Redhawks

Glendale, Ariz.- Playing for the final time before a little time off for Christmas, Arizona Christian held off Benedictine-Mesa on Thursday afternoon.  The Firestorm led from beginning to end thanks to their free throw shooting which overcame their near non-existent three point shooting.

"We did a nice job setting the tone defensively.  It was not a great shooting game for us and we were sloppy at times but we did a good job defensively for much of the game and that gave us a good cushion.  Credit to BENU, they kept fighting and made it interesting."

After a short break for Christmas, the Firestorm will return to the ACU Events Center on New Year's Adam when they host Park-Gilbert.  They will play at 2:00 pm on that Saturday.
