As the night went on the temperature dropped at Glendale High School, cooling off the ACU bats as well. The Firestorm left twelve runners stranded on the base paths tonight, half of which were in scoring position. Eli Elliott made a great bounce back start after his last outing in Florida, throwing three perfect innings before letting up a pair of hits and two runs in the fourth. Elliott recorded 7 strikeouts but gave up four earned runs on the night. Andrew Ivy made his first start of the season and proved to be a lockdown defender in center field. Ivy also reached base safely three times, including a base hit and scored once. After coming back to tie the game three separate times, the ACU offense couldn't do it a fourth as tonight's loss comes in the twelfth inning.

ACU Baseball will play the final game of the Firestorm Invite tomorrow at Glendale High School. They'll host the Midland Warriors with first pitch scheduled for 6 PM.
