The Firestorm hung tough with the host of the GSAC tournament, nearly securing the upset in Menlo's gym. Alvarez continued to be a walking bucket, scoring 25 points, with 10 in the 4th quarter alone. Brown continued to be a dominant presence in the paint, recording her third double-double in four games. After cutting the lead to three in the third quarter, the Firestorm and Oaks traded baskets back and forth before the Oaks went on a 7 point run to close out the quarter. A clutch pair of three pointers from the Oaks in the fourth put this game nearly out of reach, but the Firestorm offense had one more burst of energy left. After a 12-2 run from the Firestorm the lead was cut down to just 2 after a clutch Kaycee Brown bucket in the paint. Menlo would answer back with a layup to close out the game and put an end to ACU's season.
