Inside the Box Score
Good teams must win a good number of close games showing good, clutch play from players up and down their roster. Firestorm baseball did exactly that Tuesday, beating Park Gilbert University 7-6. It was a bullpen game for the firestorm as reliever Bear Pinedo was the opener starting the game but just pitching the 1st inning. Then after a clutch two RBI single from Daniel Durazo in the 7th , ACU would score another run to take the lead. Then Park-Gilbert would tie back up the game in the 8th . In the bottom of the eighth, reserve player Sean Garcia getting the spot start at second would get a very clutch two out RBI hit taking the lead for the Firestorm. Riley Quinton would then close up the game with a 3 up 3 down inning to get the save. Anthony Chavez would get the win going two innings out of relief.
