Inside the Box Score

In what originally shaped up to be a pitchers dual, the Firestorm got great performances out of pitchers Pinedo and Andrew Hirsch, trailing by only a run going into the 5th inning.  The Redhawks broke it open in the top of the 5th with a 6 spot, but ACU was quick to respond with three runs of their own in the bottom half.  Something seemed to stir up the Firestorm dugout who suddenly returned to form in the bottom of the 6th, starting with a JRam homer and ending with a Griffin Swan RBI single to cap off an 8 run inning.  ACU simply ran out of gas after that and the Redhawks continued to find holes in the outfield grass, as they would go on to score 15 unanswered runs in the final two innings.
