Inside the Box Score
ACU came into this game hoping to avoid a fifth straight loss. Riley Quinton got the nod for the start and threw four clean innings with two punch outs. The bullpen kept the momentum going without allowing a single earned run on the night, with a combined thirteen strike outs for the staff. On the offensive side it was a hit parade for the Firestorm who tallied eighteen hits in the game, six of which were for extra bases. Andrew Ivy set a new career high for RBI's in a game with four, and ended up just a home run shy of the cycle. ACU had all aspects of the game working well and will look to roll with that energy into the weekend.
Next for the Firestorm
ACU Baseball will head across town to Surprise where they will take on GSAC opponent OUAZ for a three game set. All three games will be played at the Surprise Spring Training complex, with game one scheduled for Friday at 2 PM.
