Inside the Box Score

ACU got two good performances out of the starting pitchers, with both Santa Cruz and Eli Elliott going more than six innings and combining for 11 strike outs.  The Firestorm offense has once again proved it can keep up with any pitching staff in the country, putting up 10 runs on 13 hits in game one, and another 4 runs on 7 hits in game two.  Durazo crushed his 8th homer of the year in game one, followed by Ivy and Vielguth who each had a blast of their own in game two.  Ultimately Hope International proved why they've spent the majority of the season ranked in the top ten and found ways to win.  The Royal's two come from behind wins in today's double header lock them into the 2nd seed in GSAC standings, and will likely face off against the Firestorm in the opening round of the tournament.

Next for the Firestorm

Senior night for the Firestorm will be Tuesday night against Park-Gilbert.  That game will be played at Glendale High School, with first pitch scheduled for 6 PM.
