Inside the Box Score
Unfortunately, the Firestorm got swept in this series. As I said in my preview of the series, for the games to go well for ACU, they needed to limit their defensive errors. They were not able to do so, as in the three games the Firestorm averaged three errors a game, with 9 total. The starters did well, as the only starter with a loss in the series was Adrian Santa Cruz in game two, giving up 5 runs in 3 innings. Eli Elliott went 7 innings giving up just two runs in game one, but Bear Pinedo got the loss in the eighth giving up four runs and getting just one out. Jackson Hohensee went 7 and a third in game three giving up just two runs and no earned but Trey Tarver would come in and get the loss giving up two runs, both on errors. Some good news happened in this series though, as Marques Titialii broke the all-time single season ACU homerun record with his thirteenth homerun.

Next for the Firestorm
Next for ACU baseball, they have some road games that are in the Phoenix area. They play Benedictine University at Mesa on Tuesday, Park University Gilbert on Wednesday, and Ottawa University in Surprise over the weekend. After a tough series sweep against Westmont, your prayers for the baseball team to stay strong in spirit is much appreciated! God Bless.
