Glendale, AZ. - Montana Tech showed why they are #13 in the nation with fast scoring and a defense that bends but doesn't break. The Firestorm offense was very effective and showed that the future is bright with all of the offensive backfield being freshman or underclassmen. Senior Qb Johnny Herrera fought through his injury from last week and the offensive line did a good job slowing down one of the best  defensive line in the conference. Can't forget the young running backs that helped move the offense against a solid defense. Freshman running back Ty Cole had a couple of electric drives that showed that the run game is going in the right direction.

The Firestorm defense had moments that showed they can play with anyone in the conference. The point of contact is what the defense struggles with the most. Senior linebacker Cameron Tibbetts has another physical game with 8 tackles. Senior free safety Jackson Ortiz, Senior cornerback Griffin Meier, Junior cornerback Ngianni Cerisier and Junior linebacker Ryan Odom all recorded 6 tackles in a physical, hard-noise game.
