Jason Ramirez and
Channing Porter, who both secured impressive technical falls early in the meet. Ramirez won at 133 pounds with a technical fall at 18-1 in 4:44, while Porter dominated at 141 pounds with a technical fall of 18-3 in 4:04.

Michael Butterfield captured the team's excitement, noting, "Tonight our guys took the mat for the first time at home this season against new Cascade Conference opponent Westcliff. Our team was dominant for a majority of the night and our guys are battling this season."
While Westcliff did manage a few victories, including wins at 184 and 285 pounds, the overall performance by the Firestorm kept them firmly in control of the match. The team looks forward to continuing their strong start as they prepare for upcoming competitions in Las Vegas at the Desert Duals on December 21.
