Glendale, AZ. - The Lady Firestorm set numerous team records in an historical scoring performance, winning easily over the visiting Skyhawks of Navajo Technical University, 122-32.  The margin of victory (80) was the largest in program history, their total points (122) was second most in program history, and their second half point total (68) was also the second most in program history.  The team had five players score in double figures led by senior Graciela Roybal who scored 25 points.
 
Head Coach Rusty Rogers had this to say after the game, "Tough game to play when your opponent is undermanned.  With that said, we saw some impressive things transpire throughout this game in terms of individuals knocking down shots, playing great defense and sharing the basketball on offense."
 
Share the basketball they did.  All fifteen Lady Firestorm had at least one assist, and the team had assists on 41 of the 51 field goals they made setting yet another program record – the previous record being 33 set almost exactly one year to the day on December 14, 2023.  Senior Kayla Clark led the team with 7 assists.
 
The team also set a record for rebounds in a game with 75.  Junior Emily Till recorded 12 of those rebounds, and like with the assists, the whole team got involved with all fifteen players grabbing at least two rebounds.
 
Said Coach Rogers, "Almost every one of our baskets came from an assist and our rebounding was sensational.  Good game for us ahead of a really difficult four-game week coming up!"
