ACU Clutch In Third Set, Sweep Friday

Amaya Brown/Emily Katzer were 1 of 2 Firestorm undefeated pairs on Friday
Santa Clarita, Calif. - Less than 24 hours removed from a disappointing loss, the Lady Firestorm bounced back in a big way with 4-1 and 3-2 match victories over Life Pacific and #6 Vanguard. Arizona Christian successfully swept their regular-season series with the Warriors and collected their fourth win over an opponent either ranked or receiving votes. 

Unlike yesterday's match against #7 The Master's, ACU won all three third sets on the day. Eliana Cho/Railey Dykstra's third-set triumph (15-11) was the most critical, as the three pair earned the clinching point against the sixth-ranked Lions. 

The four and five pairs, Sydney Shaw/Brianna Boeckman and Amaya Brown/Emily Katzer, each went undefeated on Friday. Shaw/Boeckman pushed their pair record to 3-2 while Brown/Katzer, who had the honor of securing the LPU match, moved to 12-5 and 6-2 in GSAC play.
