INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
On Friday, despite winning the faceoff battle (11-8) and collecting more ground balls (39-35) ACU could not put away Loyola Marymount. The Firestorm lost the turnover battle 28-21 and ultimately the match 10-6 after going up 3-0.
Boyer, Kotch and Schaapveld started the scoring for ACU putting the Firestorm on top 3-2 at the end of the first quarter. One ACU goal in the second by Boyer did not stand up to LMU as they scored six unanswered goals which proved to be the difference as ACU and LMU traded goals in the third and fourth quarters to finish at a 10-6 score.
On Saturday, ACU put Friday's loss behind them and defeated Biola University 22-1. ACU dominated in shots (77-12), committed fewer turnovers (40-22), captured 73 Ground Balls and won 20/27 faceoffs.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH JAKE LANDON
" "This last trip to California was important for us, and while we didn't finish the LMU game with the result we hoped for, we're proud to have even been in the position to qualify for playoffs in just our second season. We came out hot with a 3-0 run in the first quarter but couldn't sustain the momentum and lost our focus a bit. Lacrosse is a game with so many variables, one ground ball missed, or pipe hit can determine who comes out on top. But when we zoom out, I saw a group of guys who courageously stepped into the arena and gave the best of their God-given abilities towards achieving a common goal. 7 out of 10 of our players on the field at any point for us are freshman. Big-game nerves and freshman jitters are to be expected, and they gained a ton of experience this season. This group has a bright future, and we'll be excited to return next season and make another push to advance this program. Jesus deserves all the glory and praise, and we trust Him and his timing for us."
NEXT UP FOR THE FIRESTORM
The this concludes the Firestorm Lacrosse season. Congratulations, Coach Landon, coaches, and team for an incredible season.
