ACU Struggles Against the Undefeated Embry-Riddle

Glendale, Ariz. – Arizona Christian faced one of the toughest challenges of the season, taking on undefeated Embry-Riddle in Prescott. Despite the 5-0 final score, the Firestorm showed grit and discipline against the top team in the GSAC.

  • Goalkeeper play was once again a bright spot for ACU, as the Firestorm defense absorbed constant pressure from the potent Eagle attack. 
  • ACU held off multiple early chances before Embry-Riddle broke through in the 19th minute. 
  • Cadence Peroff anchored the back line with steady communication, and the Firestorm's backfield stayed active throughout the match, clearing several dangerous crosses.
  • ACU generated a few attacking moments of their own, earning three first-half corner kicks and pushing play forward to challenge the Embry-Riddle defense. 
  • Though the Firestorm's lone shot didn't find the frame, the team continued to compete hard through the full 90 minutes.
  • ACU lost the game, 5-0.
