Glendale, AZ – The Pacific Collegiate Swim & Dive Conference (PCSC) announced that two Firestorm swimmers earned Athlete of the Week Honors for week three of the 2025-26 season.  Junior CJ Trettel was awarded the Male Athlete of the Week, and freshman Camilla Oviedo has been awarded Female Freshman of the Week honors.
 
Trettel delivered a strong performance at the OUAZ Invitational last weekend by winning the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:07.26.  Oviedo won two races over the weekend and contributed to two more in helping the Firestorm women to a team victory.  Oviedo won the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.04 and then racing the 500 freestyle for the very first time – won the event with a time of 5:37.97.  She also participated in both 200 meter relays and got second in the 50 freestyle (25.93).
 
Trettel and Oviedo's next races will be November 7-8 at the GCU Invitational hosted at Brophy High School.
