• After conceding the opening goal in the 18th minute, the Firestorm responded quickly with back-to-back strikes to take control. 
• Cadence Peroff leveled the score in the 25th minute off an assist from Tahnee Scheuchl, marking Peroff's seventh goal of the season. 
• Just two minutes later, Peyton Baca netted her first goal of the year, assisted by Ella Barron, to put ACU ahead 2-1 heading into halftime.
• The second half saw Benedictine Mesa rally, as they equalized in the 55th minute before the Red Hawks found the go-ahead goal in the 69th. 
• Despite a 22–20 shot advantage and a late push from the Firestorm offense, ACU couldn't find the equalizer.
• Both teams recorded nine saves apiece in the contest, while ACU held a 13–9 edge in second-half shots.
• ACU lost the game, 2-3.
