Glendale, Ariz. - Down 11 points with 7:12 to play, Arizona Christian mounted a comeback to beat OUAZ and win their GSAC opener on Thursday evening. Their GSAC opening win was the first step in the defending their GSAC Regular Season championship from last season. Emily Till delivered her fourth double-double of the season as she topped all players in scoring and rebounding.

- The Spirit created a tie at 5-5
- At the 5:40 mark, Till gave ACU the lead for the rest of the first quarter
- Addison Neal knocked down a three and the Firestorm grabbed a six point lead early in the second quarter
- But OUAZ controlled the rest of the second quarter and held a 23-19 edge at the break
- Six was the highest point total for any player at the half
- OUAZ remained ahead all of the third quarter but did not manage a double digit lead
- With 7:12 remaining in the contest, the Spirit were in front 48-37
- Arizona Christian found their rhythm and dominated the final seven minutes to the tune of 27-10 in scoring
- Till used a layup and one to briefly move the Firestorm in front 52-51
- The Spirit went back in front 55-52 before a three pointer from Schwab knotted the game one final time
- Spencer grabbed an offensive board and went back up with a basket to give ACU the top score with 37 ticks remaining
- A three from Ellie Heideman and layup by Kristina Blauman put the game out reach

On Saturday, the women will find themselves up at Embry-Riddle (AZ) in Prescott. Game time has been moved back to 5:00 pm due to the Eagles hosting an NAIA National Championship First Round women's soccer match in the afternoon.
