Glendale, AZ – The Lady Firestorm hosted the Tigers of Olivet Nazarence who entered tonights contest as the #1 scorring offense in the NAIA. And for three quarters the Firestorm managed to match them shot for shot. In the fourth quarter though, the Firestorm went cold, and the Tigers pulled away in game that was much closer than the final score would indicate. The Tigers played at a frenetic pace at both the offensive and defensive ends and would substitute five players at time to keep the energy up. The Tiger full court press created 30 turnovers and eventually wore down the Firestorm in the final period.
Taylor Schwab and
Maggie Spencer led the team in scoring with 18 points apiece, while
Emily Till added 13 points and 15 rebounds.
