Firestorm Drop Two To Carroll

Glendale, Ariz.- The Firestorm came up short in their 2025 home opener as they lost both games to Carroll on Thursday.

  • ACU found the scoreboard when Lauko triple home Terzakos and Herrera in the third
  • Giddings singled right behind Lauko to give the Firestorm a 3-1 edge
  • Miles doubled home pinch runner Mekhia Wagner in the fourth for a 4-1 cushion
  • CC crept back within 4-3
  • Rachel Martin beat a throw home on a ground ball to send ACU ahead 5-3 
  • But the Saints used a pair of two RBI doubles to tie the game and then take the lead
  • ACU got within one when an error extended the bottom of the seventh
  • A flyout ended the game
