Irvine, Calif. - On Saturday, the regular season came to a close as Arizona Christian dropped both of their matches to NCAA Division II foes Concordia Irvine and Vanguard. The Firestorm will now focus on the GSAC Championships coming up this weekend.
In their first matchup of the day, the Firestorm dropped all five matches in straight sets to the CUI Golden Eagles.
The second match was a completely different story as Arizona Christian and Vanguard had three matches go to a third set. The fours went in favor of Vanguard in straight sets to begin the match. At the twos, Brianna Boeckman and Eliana Cho took the first set but came just short in the second and third sets.
Wave number two started with the threes and ultimately the match going in favor of the Lions. But there was no quit in the Firestorm as Alyssa Robles and Kapri Espinosa won sets one and three at the fives to earn the first team point for ACU. Haley Brown and Riley Brown dropped the first set but fought all the way back to win the last two sets.

On Thursday and Friday, the Firestorm will compete in the GSAC Championships hosted at the Brookhursts Courts of Huntington Beach. Appears Arizona Christian will first meet up with The Master's but the official opponents and times have not been released yet.
