Firestorm Win Season Opener in Gibbs’s Debut

Pasadena, Calif.- ACU struck in the second half to earn its first win of the season, shutting out Caltech 2–0 on the road. 

After a scoreless first half, the Firestorm came alive offensively after the break. In the 55th minute, senior forward Felicia Apodaca broke the deadlock with a composed finish, notching her first goal of the year. Apodaca later turned provider, assisting Jordyn Matthews in the 72nd minute as the senior forward doubled the advantage with her first score of the game.
