Firestorm Ready For Home Opener

Glendale, Ariz.- After spending their first four weekends of the season on the road, Arizona Christian University Women's Volleyball is excited to finally play in front of their home crowd in the Firestorm Recreation Center on Friday evening.  The Firestorm will host the Redhawks of Benedictine University Mesa.

The Firestorm (4-5, 1-1 GSAC) split their GSAC opening weekend in California last week with a 3-1 win at La Sierra University before dropping a 3-0 match at NAIA number 14 ranked The Master's University.  Zuri Reeser came out swinging in GSAC play as she had 12 kills and 22 digs versus the Golden Eagles.

The Redhawks hold a slight 8-5 edge in the all-time series on the strength of winning both meetings last season.  Neither team has won more than two matches in a row in the series.

Benedictine Mesa
The Redhawks have started their season with a 7-2 record after a 3-1 win over La Sierra on Wednesday to begin their GSAC season schedule.  Railey Druxman recorded 18 kills with Sophie Drollinger right behind at 17 kills against LSU.  On the season, Druxman leads 123 kills and Drollinger is at 121 kills.
