Glendale, Ariz.- A month into the season, Arizona Christian Women's Volleyball finally played in front of their home crowd and was victorious over Benedictine Mesa on Friday evening.  Ryan Coughlin and Zuri Reeser both pounded out a match-high 18 kills.

• BENU started the match up 3-0- all on ACU errors
• ACU used a kill form Tedrow bookended by a block from Reeves and Coughlin for a 5-0 run

• A close second set saw ACU trailing 16-14 before Emmi Jacobus delivered two kills in a 5-0 run
• Arizona Christian was ahead 23-21 but Benedictine answered with the final four points of the set

"The team has been working extremely hard.  The last few weeks playing the teams that we have played in the preseason helped us get the level that we want to be at now.  It is just a matter of doing it consistently.  It was fun to watch."

Next week, the Firestorm will remain in Arizona but continue in GSAC play on the road.  ACU will find themselves at Park Gilbert on Friday.  The match will be played at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa.
