Glendale, Ariz.- On Monday, the Great Southwest Athletic Conference announced the GSAC Players of the week presented by the Pickleball Space with
Zuri Reeser and
Kiah Lerma both getting the nod for Arizona Christian Women's Volleyball.
Reeser, from Stanfield, OR, earned attacker of the week honors after delivering 32 kills and 38 digs in 10 sets over three matches. She added three service aces and two assists. The outside hitter was at her best with 13 kills on .423 hitting against Justice on Friday.
Lerma, out of Montgomery, TX, was selected as the defender of the week on the strength of 46 digs in 10 sets. She added nine assists and two service aces. The libero was consistent with 16 digs versus The Master's followed by 15 digs apiece against Justice and OUAZ.
With Reeser and Lerma leading he way, Arizona Christian went 3-0 last week including 2-0 against GSAC foes. With their wins over NAIA number 11 ranked The Master's and previously unbeaten in conference OUAZ, the Firestorm climbed to the top of the GSAC standings.
