Mesa, Ariz.- Playing their first single match of one day on the season, Arizona Christian won their first four complete matches to beat Park Gilbert 4-1 on Friday morning at the Arizona Athletic Grounds. The win moved ACU back to the .500 mark in GSAC action.
In the first flight,
Alyssa Robles and
Abigail Nelson claimed the first team point at fours with a near identical effort winning 21-12 and 21-11. The double "Ja"ys-
Jaiden Zeis and
Jasmin Joseph- needed three sets at two about gave the Sandy Birds a 2-0 team cushion.
Flight two saw ACU win at the top and bottom of the lineup sheet. The "Em"s-
Emily Casner and
Emee Fellens- gave up just 19 points in their win at the 1's.
Laila Adcock and
Jaclyn Stone earned a win in straight sets at five in the lineup.
At the threes,
Abby Siebert and
Haley Tedrow played the closest match possible without needing extra points but came up short.
