Coach Francis joined the ACU Baseball staff prior to the 2013 season. He serves as the head coach of the development team.
Prior to his time at ACU, Francis spent six years as a varsity assistant coach at Scottsdale Christian Academy (2008-13). He primarily helped coach outfielding and hitting while there.
Francis spent three years playing minor league baseball (1983-86), signing on with the San Diego Padres as a free agent. He played college baseball at the University of New Mexico from 1979 to 1982 and graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1984.
Tom and his wife, Brenda, have five children (Luke, Brad, Jeff, Ricky, Lisa) and six grandchildren.
Outside of baseball, Francis is currently pursuing a master's degree at Arizona Christian. He enjoys playing guitar and going to a men's breakfast meeting at his church, which he has attended for 30 years.
