Biography
Prior to ACU- Played one season at Bushnell University under Head Coach Kim Elgarcio… Recorded 12 kills in a single game… Won the conference championship with Bushnell… Also played one season at the University of Puget Sound under Head Coach Mark Massey... Led UPS in kills and helped Bushnell set records for team wins and individual wins
King’s High School- Three years of beach volleyball under head coach Bart Foley… Named KHS Spiritual Leader and team captain… Received Coaches’ Award, MVP, First Team All-Conference… Team won Emerald Sound League twice and finished runners-up in the state championship… Favorite highlight was playing in the state championship… Member of National Honors Society and ASB
Personal- Parents- Allison and Brent Nelson… Sister- Georgia… Great uncle Stewart MacDonald played on the Boston Red Sox, father played soccer at University of Montana, mother did gymnastics at Seattle Pacific University, aunt cheered at Western Washington, and cousin played volleyball at Grand Canyon… Favorite Bible Verses- Romans 8:18 and Matthew 17:20… Chose ACU for the Christ centered education, community, and weather… Enjoys reading, surfing, water skiing, and wakeboarding… Has a boater’s license… Plans to go to law school… Major is political science with a concentration in criminal justice.
