2017 (JR)- Appeared in 33 games with 18 starts in left field… Hit .324 with nine doubles and one home run… Drove in 12 runs while scoring 16… Was 5-5 stealing bases… Went 3-4 with two doubles against Westmont College… Was 2-6 with two doubles and two runs scored against The Master’s University… Homered at Hope International University… Made five appearances on the mound as well… Delivered a 1-0 record with 2.70 ERA… Earned his win at Providence Christian College

Prior to ACU- Spent two years playing for Head Coach Rob Shabansky at Gateway Community College… Helped the Geckos reach the playoffs… Hit .274 with six doubles and three triples while scoring 25 runs with 17 RBI as a sophomore

Basha High School- Two year varsity player for Head Coach Jim Schilling… Named First Team All-State and selected to the All-Star team… In his career, hit .324 with seven home runs while scoring 42 runs with 22 RBI… Favorite highlight- hitting two home runs and robbing two home runs in the same game

Personal- Parents- Laurie Liss (Southwest Flight Attendant), Gary Sheffield (Sports Agent)… Dad played 22 seasons of Major League Baseball with eight teams including winning a World Series with the Florida Marlins in 1997… Uncle Dwight Gooden also played 16 seasons of Major League Baseball- most notably 11 seasons with the New York Mets… Enjoys playing golf because it is the ultimate thinking game that is a perfect challenge… Wants to work on a TV or radio show… Major is communication with an emphasis in journalism.
