Taylor Jacobsen enters her first season as ACU women's basketball prgram's top assistant coach after being hired in June, 2020.
An Aurora, Ill. native, Jacobsen is well-acquainted with Coach Rogers, having played for him as a member of the Cougars women's basketball team at Concordia University, Chicago during all four years of her career. Â
During her time as a member of the Cougars, Jacobsen amassed over 1,000-career points, and also averaged a team-high 18.3 points per game to go along with 3.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.7 steals per game during her senior campaign. Â
She then went on to earn an undergraduate degree from Concordia Chicago in exercise science in May, 2018 before continuing her education while serving as a graduate assistant at NAIA Div. II women's basketball powerhouse, Concordia University, Nebraska.
She spent two years as a member of the Bulldog's coaching staff during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons. During that time the team totaled a 67-5 overall record en route to winning back-to-back conference championships, as well as also taking home the 2018-19 NAIA Div. II National Championship.
She earned her master's of athletic administration in May, 2020 and decided to take her first full-time job as an assistant coach, joining her former coach in the process.Â
