The 2023 season marks the seventh season for Keith Sewell as the Defensive Coordinator for ACU.  Overall, he has coached eight years with the Firestorm.

Prior to ACU, Coach Sewell was a teacher/football coach at Westview High School for 10 years.  Coach Sewell has taught and coached football or baseball throughout the Valley of the Sun for the past 30 plus years.

Sewell is a true Arizonan graduating from Cortez High School, attending Glendale Community College, and receiving his bachelor of arts in graphic design from Northern Arizona University.

Coach Sewell and his wife, Laura, have one son, Brian (an ACU alum).  The Sewells attend The Church at Arrowhead.
