In 2020, Tracy Sandon enters her second year as Firestorm Head Dance Coach.
Coach Sandon was hired by Arizona Christian University to head up the first ever competitive dance program in May 2019.
In college, Sandon auditioned for the Arizona Cardinals cheer team and was invited to the Cardinal’s camp before being sidelined with multiple knee surgeries. In 2005, with a friend, Sandon opened a dance studio in Glendale, AZ, starting with just 50 dancers and one dance room, it soon grew to three dance rooms, 16 teachers and hundreds of competition and recreational dancers.
As a member in the Varsity Spiritline at Apollo High School and as a Universal Dance Association Dance Allstar, Sandon began her choreographing career working with dancers in the high school theatre department.
Sandon has a bachelor’s degree in English from Arizona State University, a master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix and is currently working toward a second master’s degree in secondary education.
Tracy is married to Jesse Sandon, her husband of 16 years with three children: Drew 14, Evan 12 and Clarissa 3. Sandon loves to travel, play with her pug, reading, and is obsessed with listening to audio books.
