Phoenix, AZ- Due to the time constraints of Westmont having to play another match later in the day, the #10 Firestorm defeated the #14 Warriors 5-2 in the play to decision contest on Saturday.  The number two and number five singles matches were left unfinished.

In doubles action, Arizona Christian was able to secure victories in two of the three matches.  Juniors Daniel Superlano and Scott Wheeler secured the first victory for ACU on the day in an 8-6 victory in number two doubles action.  In a hard-fought battle in number three doubles, Seniors Marcelo Balderrama and Santiago Galeffi secured the 9-8 (7-5) tiebreak victory.

The Firestorm (3-2, 2-0 GSAC) continued the success in singles action dropping only one match to the Warriors (1-3, 0-1 GSAC). In the number one singles spot in the lineup, Junior Enzo Douillac won 6-1, 6-0.  Superlano earned a victory in the number three singles spot winning 6-3, 6-3.  Balderrama won the last finalized match of the day for ACU 6-2, 6-2 in number six singles.

On Sunday, the Firestorm are back in action hosting Ottawa (AZ) before hosting the Firestorm Classic on February 23rd and 24th.
