ACU started the game fast against the top ranked Hope U. The Firestorm played tough defense despite losing goalkeeper Matthe Ortiz early on in the contest to injury. ACU would open up the scoring and would hold the lead until the Royals countered late in the second half. The Match would go to Overtime where Lukas Macho would end the game in overtime with the Golden Goal to upset the first place GSAC team. 

COACH BELLMAN'S THOUGHTS

Tonight was a story of 2 halves. We played really well in the first half and they were all over us in the second half. I thought our guys responded well going in to OT and our team really needed a moment like this. It was a massive goal in OT to propel us in to conference play! Hope is really good and probably deserved more from the game, but we are happy it bounced the right way for us tonight.
