Box Score Costa Mesa, CA - The Arizona Christian University men's soccer program's (9-1-1, 3-1-0) unbeaten run came to an end as they fell 3-0 to Vanguard (7-3-1, 3-1-0) in GSAC play on Saturday afternoon in Costa Mesa.
Thoughts From Coach:
After the match, Head Coach Ted Krzywiecki stated, "Today was a tough match for us after a battle on Thursday. We did not play our best today. We will definitely learn from this and work to keep improve."
The Game:
The Firestorm's shutout streak of 419 minutes, the longest in program history came to end at 7:24 when the Lions got on the board to make it 1-0 which is where the score stood at halftime. The Firestorm looked to get back into the game in the second half but were unable to do so as the Lions scored two more goals to take a 3-0 advantage. The Firestorm had a late chance to get on the board but were denied as their ten-game unbeaten run, also the longest in program history came to end

The Firestorm return home to face Hope International on Thursday, October 14 at 3:00 PM. The Firestorm's seniors will be honored before the match.
