Box Score Glendale, AZ - The Arizona Christian University women's basketball team (14-4) overcame a slow start to defeat SAGU American Indian (1-15) 98-66 and extend their winning streak to a school record nine games on Monday evening at the ACU Events Center.
Thoughts from Coach:
After the game, Head Coach Rusty Rogers said, "We really looked "rusty" that first quarter and played very sloppy throughout but, unfortunately, that's to be expected when you've had two practices and no games for the last two weeks. It was encouraging to see Shinske come alive in the second half and Slaughter was a beast on the defensive boards. We're excited to get lots of offensive contributions from everyone. Now our focus shifts to a big road trip with major GSAC implications!"
