From the opening whistle Menlo came out ready to play.  The Oaks scored on the jet-lagged Firestorm in just the 6th minute of play.  That goal must've inspired the Firestorm to kick it into gear, because not long after Ardon's header found the back of the net thanks to the assist from Nicula at 34:19, which would tie the game going into halftime.  The Oaks took over on the offensive front in the second half, scoring two unanswered goals to secure the 3-1 victory and hand ACU their first loss in well over a month, and just their second of the season.  ACU still sits in 2nd place in GSAC standings, but they'll hope to finish the regular season strong in order to secure that top spot.    

Next Match:

Men's soccer will take tomorrow off before heading to Rocklin, California to take on the William Jessup Warriors in the second of two soccer games Saturday morning.  The Firestorm will then come back to Glendale for their final game of the regular season against the OUAZ Spirit.
