Inside the Box Score

From the opening jump William Carrey took off to a 7-0 lead before the Firestorm went on a 9-0 run to finish out the first quarter. Going into halftime ACU only trailed by four points, but were slow to get things going in the third quarter, only scoring 8 points in the entire 10 minute period.  Payne, Alvarez, and Marin kicked it into overdrive in the fourth quarter, eventually cutting the lead down to 2 with three minutes to play.  Ultimately it was the Crusaders that came out on top as the Firestorm continue to search for their first win outside of the ACU Events Center this season.

Island basketball continues for the Firestorm on Monday, when they take on Viterbo University.  Tip off for that game is scheduled for 4:30 PM Arizona time.
