Women's basketball battled hard today, out-scoring the Hawks in points in the paint, points from the bench, and second chance points.  The offensive production was thriving, but the Firestorm were also locked in on the defensive end, holding San Diego to just 35% shooting from the field.  The bench continues to be a deciding factor, scoring over a third of the team's points tonight.  An all-around great performance from the Firestorm moves them into the win column, and climb the GSAC standings.

"Very proud of our team today.  Despite our on-going struggle to put the ball in the basket with any consistency, we have figured out the power of perseverance, energy, and toughness.  Sometimes those qualities are as important as knocking down shots! Also, very proud of our bench production, out-scoring them 27-7!"
 
Next for the Firestorm
The homestand continues for Women's basketball next week as they take on the cross-town conference opponent OUAZ.  ACU will host the Spirit in the ACU Events Center on December 8th, tip off at 5:30 PM.
